Charles Guy: Tuba Tutorials

Dr. Charles Guy is Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at SUNY-Potsdam’s Crane School of Music. Active as a performer, he has performed more than 600 concerts as a member of the Potsdam Brass Quintet and is in demand as a soloist. His students have enjoyed great success as performers, educators and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Guy created his "Tuba Tutorials" as part of his 2019 sabbatical project. Dr. Guy states,

" They include information for music educators and inquisitive tuba students. For educators, I hope that this collection serves as a refresher to the Tuba Techniques course and clarifies some of the most common aspects of tuba performance. For students, I see this as a supplement to the instruction they are receiving from their music teachers. The initial project consists of six videos and a brief introduction. If these videos prove to be helpful I will expand to include other topics as well as digging deeper into these fundamentals."
