ITEAOnline Audio Library: Laurent Vadrot
Le Désir
Laurent Vadrot began his music studies on piano. Later, he studied the French tuba, eventually graduating with highest honors from the National Conservatory in Lyon (CNSMD). While a student, he benefitted from masterclasses with M. Culbertson, B. Bowman, R. Bobo, and F. Poullot, not to mention orchestral and brass ensemble performances as well as solo performance with M. Béroff, E. Krivine, M. Plasson, A. Lombard, T. Kassatti, and P. Dutot who have all significantly contributed to his development. Having accomplished mastery of the French tuba, he has added the euphonium as well as the ophicleide in his instrumentarium. An eclectic musician, he has performed many repertoires and has sought early works for the euphonium. Recent researches undertaken have led to the revival of lost/forgotten repertoires for this entire family of instruments.
